We are pleased to announce the launch of the ‘Astro Internship Programme’. The programme is opened to all eligible students (particularly those in their final year) both from public and private institutions of higher learning.
The programme is effective 3rd September 2012 and there will be four (4) intakes per year;
- December
- March
- June
- September
Applications will open two months prior to each intake and each intake shall comprise of 20 students.
Requirements:
- Students enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree programme in institutions of higher learning (Priority will be given to Malaysian students).
- Priority will be given to penultimate year students.
- Minimum CGPA of 2.8 and above or Second Class Lower and above.
- Minimum 2.5 months (10 weeks) duration for internship placement. (Longer internship placement periods are accepted).
- From selected fields of study (related to Astro’s business requirements).

Interns will have the opportunity to learn from the experts in the media and broadcasting

Interns will have the opportunity to contribute in project management.

Interns are expected to provide basic support and assistance in day-to-day running of activities
and duties.

5. SPM leavers are only eligible for local universities.

7. Forecast results are accepted for students who are pursuing their A Levels; however it is only applicable for students who are completing their A2/ AL.
8. Applicants would have to receive unconditional or conditional offer letter from the universities.
9. Possess strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular, social or voluntary activities.
10. Not bonded with other companies/ institutions.
11. Applicants have to be physically present in Malaysia in order to attend the Second Assessment.
